Raffia

Raffia is a fantastic natural material for birds, perfect for making toys, stuffing into foraging items, weaving into enrichment pieces, or simply tying small strips to the side of the cage for shredding fun!

It’s 100% natural, safe and non-toxic, offering birds a soft, lightweight fibre they love to chew, shred, and explore.

Available in:

1. Small Paper Roll (12 m) This small roll is made from natural-fibre raffia formed into a soft paper-style ribbon. One continuous length. Approx. 12 m long x 5 cm wide. Perfect for cutting into short, safe lengths to add to toys or wrap around enrichment items.
2. Paper Roll – 50 m. A larger roll of tightly woven natural raffia fibres, creating a paper-like raffia rope with a firmer texture. Approx. 50 m continuous length. Ideal for weaving, threading through toys, or adding durable shreddable layers to your bird’s enrichment.
3. Large Natural Bundle – 50g. This is a bundle of loose, natural-fibre raffia strips. Soft, flexible and great for stuffing into foraging toys or tying small pieces onto the cage. Up to 50 individual pieces. Approx. 60–100 cm long x 5 cm wide. A perfect choice for birds who love softer fibres and lots of shredding texture.

Safety Note: Always keep raffia lengths short to prevent entanglement, and supervise your bird when providing long pieces or when incorporating raffia into toys.
